Gono University or গণ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (Bengali: গণ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a private university in Savar, Bangladesh which was established on 14 July 1998. It is now operating their academic and administrating activity on their permanent campus at Nalam, Savar, Dhaka. It was approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) on 1998.[1] As of 2005, it also introduced new academic courses without UGC approval (as did a number of other private universities)

Fareast International University (FIU) (Bengali: ফারইস্ট ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটি) is a private university located at Banani in Dhaka, Bangladesh.[1][2][3] The university was established in 2013 under the Private University Act, 2010. It was founded by Sheikh Kabir Hossain, relative of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.[4] FIU is currently operating trimester basis in 16 graduate and masters programs under the faculty of Business Administration, Engineering, Science, Liberal Arts & Social Sciences and LAW. FIU introduces international standard course curricula approved by the UGC of Bangladesh. Besides, there are different clubs and houses for debate, English language, indoor-games, cultural practices, and sports facilities for the benefit of the learners. It has research and academic collaborations with number of foreign universities.[5] FIU is the first private university in Bangladesh selected by the Government to offer MBA Major in Project Monitoring and Evaluation.[6] Moreover, FIU has established "Integrated Research Institute for Inclusive Development (IRIID)" for action research on various issues of the contemporary world and appropriate technology transfer for sustainable development

The University of Rajshahi, also known as Rajshahi University or RU (Bengali: রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় Rājshāhi Bish-shobid-daloy) is a public university which is the second largest university in Bangladesh, in Rajshahi, a city in northwestern Bangladesh. It was established in 1953, the second university to be established in what was then East Pakistan. The university is ranked third on the Bangladesh University Ranking 2017. The university's 59 departments are organised into ten faculties. Rajshahi University is in a 753 acres (3 km2) campus in Motihar, 3 kilometres (2 mi) from the Rajshahi city centre. With 25,000 students and close to 1000 academic staff, it is one of the largest universities in Bangladesh. In addition to hosting programs in engineering, arts, law, sciences, agriculture, social sciences, business studies and medical sciences, the university houses institutes of higher studies.

Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ ইউনিভার্সিটি অফ বিজনেস অ্যান্ড টেকনোলজি) or BUBT is one of the eight private universities to receive the green Signal from the government, located in Mirpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The university was established under the Private University Act 1992.[1] BUBT is regulated by the Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC). BUBT was founded in 2003 under the authority of the Private University Act and was approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC)[2] and the Ministry of Education, Government of Bangladesh. It was modeled after North American universities. It started its operation in the Dhaka Commerce College campus, the founder organization of BUBT. It is running its programs in its own campus at Rupnagar R/A, Mirpur. Classes are also held at Dhaka Commerce College campus. In 2011 UGC has ranked BUBT as one of the best eight private universities. Around 1,000 students were awarded with their graduate and post graduate degrees in the first convocation this year (2011). BUBT is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities
